Project Type: Design Bid Build
Project Owner: Gila River Indian Community and Pima-Maricopa Irrigation Project
Construction Dates: 3/14 to 7/14
The project consisted of installing 1,682 linear feet of 120” RCCP C-300 pipeline at 16’ – 28’ depths, with double rubber gasket Carnegie bell and spigot, and each joint tested at time of installation. The project was installed in a double barrel design using an open cut method of installation. The pipeline was backfilled with ½ sack slurry to springline, and 3/8” chips to 1’ above the pipeline with filter fabric over it. This work required a final tie-in to be completed during a two month dry-up, and T&T coordinated closely with the concrete structure construction in order to accomplish this goal.
