Project Type: Design Bid Build
Project Owner: Gila River Indian Community and Pima Maricopa Irrigation Project
Construction Dates: 6/12 to 4/14
The project consisted of installing 4,878 linear feet of 96” Double Rubber Gasket RCP C-361 Pipe and Welded Steel Pipe. The project also included a multi-path ultrasonic flowmeter, a 146 CY flow meter vault, a 220 CY outlet structure, and connection to an existing 84” RCP line. This is a pressurized system that required individual joint testing to insure zero leakage of the pipe. The installed lines were backfilled with ½ sack CLSM to springline, and 3/8” chips with filter fabric to 1’ above the pipeline. This project required adherence to a strict schedule, so that all concrete and pipe work was completed for the final tie-in to occur during a two month dry-up.
